A little bit about me

I’ve been writing instrumental music for the acoustic guitar since I was 16 years old. My sound is rooted in folk and blues but I also blend my own inspirations into the compositions I create. Fingerpicking guitar with a strong beat and a pleasing melodic structure.

In the 1980’s I moved from Santa Monica, CA to San Francisco following the path of my musical heroes. Playing in small clubs, cafes and at street fairs, my early career reached its peak in 1987 with the release of my album “Woodwork” on the Kicking Mule label.

The 1990’s brought a pause to my musical output and performing, (work and family took center stage). After some 30 years, I returned to writing and performing with a new enthusiasm and depth of creativity.

These days I perform about 100 shows a year, mostly at local farmer’s markets and have produced 2 new albums. It’s my pleasure and privilege to keep sharing this “toe-tapping happy music” with thousands of people every year.
